With three locations downtown, Gray Fox is a local favorite for unique coffee creations (we love the Nutty Squirrel and Golden Milk lattes) and quick breakfast sandwiches. Warm lattes feature stamped designs that are so cute you’ll want to take a picture. Gray Fox is currently only open during the weekdays and be sure to check their hours before you go – they vary at each location.
Café Ceres
Brought to you by top local pastry chef Shawn McKenzie, Cafe Ceres features traditional and Turkish coffees, pastries, salads, and sandwiches. So, if you need a sweet treat with your coffee make sure you visit this place. Branch out and try the sweet and savory Dukkah Latte (sweet syrup with spices like sumac, coriander, cumin, thyme and black sesame), or stick to the classics and choose from their traditional coffee menu.
SK Coffee
The newest coffee shop in downtown Minneapolis, SK Coffee serves nothing but fantastic single origin coffee. Their skyway level coffee shop is bright, colorful and picturesque. Can’t decide what to order? Ask the friendly staff here for their recommendations – you won’t be disappointed.
Dunn Brothers
Dunn Brothers has been a Twin Cities coffee staple since 1987 and their downtown Minneapolis location is conveniently located just a couple of blocks from the Stone Arch Bridge and Mississippi River. The beautiful historic building offers up a cozy vibe that pairs nicely with its in-house roasted coffee.
Spyhouse
Located in the lobby of Hotel Emery, this beautifully designed coffee shop is a beautiful stop for a quick drink or an afternoon of lounging. Pair your coffee with one of their scrumptious snack options, take a seat and kick back for a while.
Mocha Momma's
You’ll find Mocha Momma’s inside the Minneapolis Central Library. As a non-profit coffee shop, its mission is to provide young people with mentorship to learn life and job skills, like professionalism and customer service. FRGMNT
This minimalist coffee shop has three locations with open spaces, great for meeting friends or working remotely. FRGMNT’s downtown location is conveniently located steps from U.S. Bank Stadium, Guthrie Theater, and Gold Medal Park. It also shares space with an indie bookstore. Their unique, ever-changing menu of coffees will keep you coming back.
Vitality Roasting
Vitality Roasting, a women-operated coffee shop and roaster opened their skyway coffee shop in 2017, and we couldn’t be happier. Grab a hand-crafted coffee in this cozy spot full of local art and be sure to check out their seasonal specialties.
