1. See what's new at the Science Museum of Minnesota
Returning to the Science Museum for the first time since its debut in 2013, Maya: Hidden Worlds Revealed welcomes a new generation of visitors to explore a fascinating culture through more than 200 authentic artifacts and immersive environments. Presented in both English and Spanish, Maya gives visitors a glimpse at ancient Maya life — from mighty kings who ruled powerful cities to the artisans and laborers who formed the backbone of society. Visitors will also get a close look at the scientific work happening at key Maya sites across Central America to understand exactly what is known of the ancient Maya culture.
Over at the Omnitheater, take an Arctic adventure and meet polar bears, porcupine caribou, and people who call the Artic home, or embark on a feel-good journey and follow Jane Goodall as she inspires people to make a difference in the world around them.
2. Get spooked at the Minnesota Zoo's Jack-o-Lantern Spectacular
Bring the whole family for a walk through the enchanted forest and take a peak at over 5,000 brightly lit pumpkins, each one with a unique carving.
