4. Minneapolis Sculpture Garden Art Fair
May 11-12
For the first time ever, the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden will be home to an art fair, Mother's Day weekend in 2024. The event will feature approximately 150 artist booths, along with music, crafts, food, and more.
5. MJ at the Orpheum Theatre
May 14-26

"HISS" and "Cry Baby" singer, songwriter and rapper Megan Thee Stallion is coming to Target Center in Minneapolis with special guest GloRilla.
7. Star Wars: The Last Jedi with the Minnesota Orchestra
May 16-18
Star Wars: The Last Jedi tells the story of The Resistance in desperate need of help when they find themselves impossibly pursued by the First Order. While Rey travels to a remote planet called Ahch-To to recruit Luke Skywalker to the Resistance, Finn and Rose, a mechanic, go on their own mission in the hopes of helping the Resistance finally escape the First Order. Don’t miss this big-screen battle with score performed live by the Minnesota Orchestra.
8. Minnesota Lynx Home Opener
May 17
The Minnesota Lynx will start their season at home against the Seattle Storm. Come out to Target Center and see if the Lynx can make a run at the post-season.
9. Art-a-Whirl
May 17-19
Spend the weekend in Northeast Minneapolis at over 100 locations discovering over 1,300 NEMAA member artists, galleries, and businesses participating in Art-A-Whirl. This annual art festival is a fantastic way to connect with artists in their own spaces, enjoy demonstrations and interactive activities, listen to live music, and enjoy local restaurants and breweries. Art-A-Whirl is free and open to the public.

The Oddities & Curiosities Expo showcases hand selected vendors, dealers, artists and small businesses with all things weird. You'll find items such as: taxidermy, preserved specimens, original artwork, horror/halloween inspired pieces, antiques, handcrafted oddities, creepy clothing, odd jewelry, animal skulls/bones, funeral collectibles & much more.
12. Kickoff to the State Fair
May 23-26
The fourth annual Kickoff to Summer at the Fair returns and features more food and fun things to do than ever before – but with the laid-back patio vibe we all love about Minnesota summers.
